This small painting depicts my nephew enjoying the sea. He was about 5 at the time so this may have been his first memorable experience of standing in the wet sand, and having the waves hit his feet.
I enjoyed painting the sand with a small amount of water covering it, the white foamy water giving it form. It is based on a photograph.
