This painting was created during November 2017, and shows snapshot of life with work on a building site, with several workers doming high visibility clothing looking at a hole in the ground. A large 'breaker' hydraulic operated vehicle, used for breaking up concrete and other hard surfaces, stands idle for the moment while a decision by the men is taken, on a wet, damp winters day.
The location is Southampton, Hampshire. Most of the site shown in the painting has now been built upon. This painting measures 20” x 28” and is done using oils on mounting board.
