Artist's Description

Many wrecks of old boats and yachts can be found at Northam, Southampton, where the River Itchen runs through up towards Winchester. The river is tidal and at low tide many wrecks are uncovered and others that still float rest on the mudflats. This small acrylic painting (12" x 10") shows two floating wrecks resting on the mud. I suspect however that the larger one is not abandoned but has someone living on it! Painted in September 2014.
