This digital sci-fi painting was created during January 2018, and is a throwback in influence to an earlier era of science fiction as portrayed during the 1970s/ 80s. An astronaut can be seen taking up a corner of the frame while a small scout ship comes toward him. In the background can be observed a part of a large space station, with the whole assemble orbiting a green coloured planet.
TV and and movie productions such as 2001 and space 1999 can be seen to have some influence as as can be said of the many book covers adorning novels, the artist can remember from his youth.
'Auto Sketchbook Pro' drawing software was used for the initial drawing and through to most of the finished painted, with the final elements and grading done in Photoshop.
