This painting illustrates another view of the quay at Christchurch, Dorset, UK, showing a permanently busy scene with many yachts and boats moored in the harbour. It is painted in oils on a 16" x 20" canvas. The seagull and man rowing a boat were added to give extra interest. Hengistbury Head can be seen in the very distance. The town offers many good subjects worthy of painting and similar paintings of this part of Christchurch Quay (harbour) can be seen on this site.
