Description
The Southampton Urban Sketchers had a meet up at Ocean Village, a large marina in was was part of the commercial docks in the town. This beautiful large boat of a traditional profile was docked near to the Harbour Hotel and Spa, and is named 'Lord Jim'. The day was quite misty at the start and remained very overcast during the quite cold weather that had suddenly arrived that weekend.
The painting was done on Saturday 2 November 2024. Created on mounting board sized at 9.5 x 12" using oil paint.
Ai...A sailboat is docked in a peaceful harbor surrounded by other boats and industrial buildings under a cloudy sky. Light reflections dance on the calm water's surface, contributing to a serene maritime atmosphere.
