Description
This illustration was done during late December 2016 and early January 2017. It features an airport scene with a pig taking the place of a conventional passenger aeroplane. Passengers of the era are seen boarding the plane parked on the tarmac. The image is a twist on the 'Pigs may fly' saying. The imagery is based on 1950s air travel advertising, in particular from the TWA air line.
The painting is done using 'Auto Sketchbook Pro', running on a pc. The final grading was done in Photoshop. It is also painted on a drawing tablet (from UGEE) which has a built in pressure sensitive screen, rather than the conventional method of using a Wacom tablet with no screen, while looking at the computer monitor.
