This painting of the New Forest, Hampshire, was completed in late summer 2021, and was based on a set of photos taken a few years later. A small stream, known as Blackwater Stream and Ober Water, can be seen surrounded with trees. Parts of old , long dead trees have fallen in to the water. Nearby is a camp site (Aldridge Hill) which I have painted before, this stream running past it. The area is quiet, still and timeless.
Painted in oil on primed mounting board, sized at 20” x 16”.
