This landscape painting featuring a marine theme was done in very early January 2019. Some workers at a boat yard in Northam, Southampton are shown pausing for a moment while completing tasks at their place of work. It is an early spring day with sun. In the distance is the river Itchen, that starts a few miles away where it leaves Southampton water. The yard is filled with a number of boats and the men would be shortly operating the crane to lower one in to the water.
The painting is done in oils on mounting board and the image size is 20” x 28”.
