This illustration was created digitally in October 2018. It is based on a world famous painting by Monet: 'Woman with a Parasol ' painted in 1875. The painting is also known as 'The stroll', and features Madame Monet with her son. My version features a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and her son taking in the evening sunshine while strolling through a meadow in summer. I have attempted to show similar types of (digital) brush strokes, and used 'oil' brushed to create some bleeding of the colours when mixed together.
It is painted in 'Auto Sketchbook Pro', with the initial drawing and colour sketch done on an android tablet, after which the file is exported and work continues on a W10 machine, where the image is enlarged and repainted to a fine degree. The final stage was to colour grade the illustration in Photoshop, but I also added some effects on to the brush strokes to try to give them more of the look of a brush mark.
