Artist's Description
This painting was completed during October 2016. It features a narrow tarmac country road winding its way through a typical part of the UK countryside, in this example, based on a location in Hampshire. The hedgerow on the left has recently had a trim and the September scene is one showing the first signs of the approaching Autumn, with the sun lower in the sky and the leaves loosing their colour.
The painting is done using oil paint on stretched paper, sized at 20" x 16".

Thanks very much Meg. I thought oils suited the subject more than acrylic for this one, and does help a lot in its execution!
