This painting shows a stone wall on the edge of a field during a summers evening. The location is near to Wembury, in the county of Devon, UK. It is a coastal location and the landscape in the distance meets a cliff dropping in to the sea. A few farm buildings can be see in the distance. The scene is dominated by the characterful, drystone wall in the foreground. The painting was finished during very early August 2016 and is painted in acrylics on stretched paper, 16" x 12".
